Busy Fall!

It's been a busy fall for our family!

 Avery turned 6 months old in October ...

 We went to a pumpkin patch to get some pumpkins ...

 

 

We celebrated Halloween with the sweetest little lamb in the world ...

We watched a lot of football ...

Avery turned 7 months old ...

We went to Charlotte for Thanksgiving, where Avery participated in her first Turkey Trot and got money from Santa ...

Avery discovered a love for pancakes ...

Avery got her first car ...

... and turned 8 months old ...

... by next month, we think we might have a crawler on our hands ...

Avery started solids a few weeks ago ... we are still in the "wearing it" phase of eating.

Aunt Amy and Uncle Ross Visit!

This past weekend, Aunt Amy and Uncle Ross came to visit Avery from North Carolina. Avery had such a fun weekend and can't wait to see them again soon!

Labor Day Weekend

It was such a treat to have a long weekend with Avery! We spent the weekend in the mountains with Mimi, Kiffy, and Uncle Scott. Avery got dressed up for her very first Gator game and got to stay up to watch the kick-off with her daddy. (I suspect Avery will have plenty of other opportunities to watch the Gators play!)

20 Weeks!

It's hard to believe we have been parents for 20 weeks. It feels like a minute and a lifetime all at once.

Avery's Grammy and Poppy from Charlotte came in town to visit her this past weekend, so mommy and daddy were lucky enough to sleep late, get a date night, and take a few naps!



We are obsessed with Avery's Juicy jeggings and t-shirt!



 



Avery loved meeting Amy and Jason this weekend! We had the best weekend and are so sad they don't live closer. We miss you already - come back soon!

FOUR months!!

Avery is four months old today!

She rolled over this morning, much to the delight of her parents, but of course we could not get her to do it again once the cameras were rolling. In case anyone is interested, Stuart now has about 20 minutes of video showing Avery on her tummy, clearly irritated with us, and us clapping and cheering her on, with no success. Better luck next time!

Who needs sleep?!?

After sleeping soundly through the night for the past 13 weeks, Avery has decided that she has had enough and now wakes up at 4:30 for an early breakfast. Oh boy...

So, instead of having breakfast at 7am as usual, we had a photo shoot. Way more fun. Who can resist that tush?!?!

Just hanging out with mommy at CVS, waiting to get some prescriptions filled, while daddy is at home sick. We hope he feels better soon (mommy is tired and could use some help)!

Bathtime!



With mommy back at work and Avery in "school," bathtime has become our favorite time of the day! I wonder how long we have until Avery gets annoyed that the entire family is watching her take a bath ...

Avery is so chatty lately - we can't get enough of her squeaky little voice!

First Day of School!

Avery started daycare this week! She handled the transition much better than her parents did, and is loving all her new friends. Of course, all of the teachers love her and keep telling us that she is the sweetest and most well behaved baby! Today she brought home her first piece of art!

First Plane Ride!

This past weekend, Avery earned her wings - flying to Santa Barbara for mommy and daddy's friends Dan and Lindsay's wedding. She even got upgraded to first class, which she was very excited about! She was absolutely perfect on the plane and we were very relieved not to be those parents with the screaming baby. Avery loved spending time in California with her Uncle Scott and meeting lots of daddy's college friends.

We even survived Carmageddon 2011!

Avery is THREE months old!

We can't believe our little sweetheart is THREE months old today! It's been a busy month -

We spent a weekend in the mountains with Mimi and Kiffy

A week at the beach with Grammy and Poppy and Aunt Amy and Uncle Ross

We went swimming for the first time too! Avery LOVES the water!!

Avery's Naming and Fathers Day!

This weekend we celebrated Avery's hebrew naming ceremony and Stuart's first Father's Day! Avery Madison was given the hebrew name Miriam Chana after her maternal Great Great Aunt Anne and paternal Great Grandparents Marilyn, Morris, and Mae. We felt so lucky to be able to celebrate with all of our family - including Mimi and Kiffy Wolman, Grammy and Poppy Shapiro, Uncle Scott and Aunt Amy, and TONS of Great Aunts and Uncles - and our close friends. People traveled from North Carolina, New York, New Jersey, California, and Oregon to be with Avery on her special day.
